Former Oklahoma State coach Les Miles is out at LSU. The Tigers lost to Auburn on Saturday, and Miles was fired the following Monday.
He spent four years in Stillwater and the last 12 in Baton Rouge. Current Cowboys head coach Mike Gundy was sympathetic.
"I was sad for Coach Miles,” said Gundy. “He's a very good football coach, and I know that he was still very youthful and energetic in his practices with his team. I had taken a quote from Mike Leach in that. If you stay in one place long enough, eventually, they're probably going to fire you, and he may be an example of what's happened down at LSU."
