A man was killed when his van flipped on Highway 88 in Rogers County overnight. Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers are investigating the fatal crash.
The man was eastbound on the highway about a mile and a half east of Claremore when his Ford van left the road for an unknown reason. He was thrown from the van and killed.
A passerby saw the wreck and called authorities. No other vehicles were involved, according to OHP.
A dog in the van survived the wreck and was taken to the Rogers County Sheriff's Office dispatch center. He had some cuts but was OK.
Troopers haven't released the victim's name pending notification of family. Deputies said they would notify animal control until someone could pick up the dog.
