ME Releases Cause, Manner Of Death Of Terence Crutcher

The state Medical Examiner's office released the cause and manner of death for Terence Crutcher Friday morning.

According to the ME, the cause of death was a penetrating gunshot wound to the chest. His manner of death is homicide.

Crutcher was shot and killed by Tulsa police officer Betty Shelby.

Shelby was charged with first-degree manslaughter Thursday. She turned herself in at the jail early Friday morning and then bonded out. 

The Medical Examiner's office says the toxicology results and autopsy report are not complete.
