Former Yale Teacher Accused Of Sexting Student Arrested In Texas

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says a former Yale school teacher accused of sending inappropriate, sexually explicit messages to a female student has been arrested in Texas.

Joseph Kolt Palmer, 27, was arrested in Kaufman County, Texas on Tuesday afternoon. Kaufman County is located east of Dallas.

In May, Yale Police Chief Phillip Kelly requested the OSBI investigate an allegation that Palmer was having a relationship with a 17-year-old female student at the school, according to the OSBI.

Palmer was hired by Yale Public Schools in Payne County in August 2015 as a full-time math teacher and coach.
