We The People Oklahoma is demanding change within the Tulsa Police Department.
The organization outlined at a Monday press conference what they said needs to happen to make the community safer for everyone.
We The People Oklahoma wants TPD to make changes to its use of force policy.
The group said the Monday press conference was called outside the Tulsa County Courthouse because they said they were going to talk about policy change, but it quickly turned into an emotional plea for change.
People who attended said they are fed up.
Marq Lewis talked about some of the things We The People Oklahoma are demanding of the investigation.
"We need accountability, we need transparency and we need it today," Lewis said. "Right now, we need for them to arrest Betty Shelby. Right now."
They also said they want the Tulsa County D-A to recuse himself from the investigation. And they are also asking for a culture of community policing.
The group said something needs to be done to fix what they are calling a "systemic" issue within the police department.
