The chance for additional scattered showers and storms continues for the rest of our Friday, and high school football could be impacted in a few areas this evening.
Multiple outflow boundaries left-over from some of our early morning showers and storms will be focal points for additional showers and storms to develop during the mid to late afternoon hours today just about anywhere across eastern Oklahoma. A few storms could be strong to severe, with damaging winds the biggest threat.
Scattered storms are expected to continue into the evening hours, which could cause delays for a few of our Friday Night Football games. Not every game will be impacted, but have the rain gear handy as you head out to watch the games and be ready to head to safe shelter if lightning approaches.
A few widely scattered storms may re-develop overnight into early Saturday morning as well before rain chances gradually diminish during the daylight hours on Saturday.
We’ll be here throughout the afternoon and evening tracking storms for you! Make sure you have our FREE News On 6 weather app, so you can get alerts from our weather team and track storms on radar right along with us.
