Police arrested Wardell Melton, 30, and a 15-year-old after a QuikTrip employee called police around 12:38 a.m. to report a man walking around inside the store at Admiral and Memorial with a shotgun in his pants.
Police arrived at the store and located three men in a black SUV parked outside the store. Police took three individuals into custody for questioning and found a black shotgun lying on the floorboard passenger side of the SUV, according to the police report.
The suspects were all wearing dark clothing and their descriptions matched those of two suspects reported earlier Tuesday night in two separate incidents including a robbery and carjacking, police said.
At 10:35 p.m., police responded to a carjacking at the Howard Johnson Hotel on East Skelly Drive after the victim said he was approached by two black males who demanded his vehicle, the report states.
