Tulsa police arrested a man after they say he broke into the K-Mart near 21st and Mingo and tried to steal thousands of dollars in merchandise. Police arrested 18-year-old Brandon Tedrick on a complaint of second-degree burglary overnight.

Officers responded to the store after the intrusion alarm sounded around 1:40 a.m.

Police say he got into the K-Mart through the garden center. He then filled up shopping carts with merchandise like flat screen TVs and hid them in the woods nearby.

The police helicopter spotted him, and officers took him into custody. Tedrick was still in jail Wednesday morning on a $3,000 bond.
