Deputies are working to find who damaged and stole a section of vinyl fencing at a small veterans cemetery in Commerce over the weekend.
The sheriff's office believes the vandalism happened sometime late Saturday or early Sunday at the Northeast Oklahoma Memorial Veterans Cemetery at the corner of East 60th Road and Maxun Drive in Commerce.
Ronnie Garrett told KOAM, the CBS affiliate in Joplin, Missouri that more than 100 feet of vinyl fencing was missing that surrounds the 24 acre cemetery.
Ottawa County Sheriff Derek Derwin says a hacksaw and pry bar were found near where the fence was taken.
Garrett says replacing the $1,500 worth of stolen fence won't be an easy task.
