LeFlore County Prison Escapee Recaptured

Law enforcement has recaptured a prison inmate who escaped Thursday evening.

KFSM, the CBS affiliate in Fort Smith, Arkansas says 56-year-old Brian McMahan was reported missing from the Jim E. Hamilton Correctional Center in Hodgen at around 6:15 p.m. Thursday.

Prison records show McMahan was serving time for a Muskogee County grand larceny conviction.  He also has previous convictions out of Tulsa County.

The Department of Corrections says McMahan was located about three mile away from the facility along LeFlore County highway at about 10:10 a.m. Friday. They said multiple K9 units tracked him down and took McMahan back into custody.
