Man's Body Found On Train Tracks Near Muldrow

Emergency crews are investigating a man’s death after his body was found on train tracks near Muldrow Thursday morning, September 8, 2016.

Authorities told KFSM 5NEWS, a train was in the area at the time. Investigators aren’t sure if he was hit by an oncoming train, said Jeff DeGraff with Union Pacific.

Union Pacific is investigating the accident as a trespassing matter, the CBS affiliate reports.

DeGraff told 5NEWS, “Our train crew spotted a trespasser lying on the ground near the rails. When they were able to check on him, they reported individual as deceased. We do not know if the individual simply died near the tracks or if there was train involvement. Have to wait for medical examiner.”

The tracks are closed until further notice while the case is investigated.
