Tulsa volunteers are building a wheelchair ramp for a woman shot during an attempted robbery in July.
Rebuilding Together Tulsa started the ramp project Wednesday.
This is all for a lady named Julie. We're not saying her last name for safety reasons.
Police say on July 27th, three men tried to rob her as she got in her car headed to the grocery store. She was shot in the back by one of those men, leaving her wheelchair bound.

Between keeping up with her family and teaching at a Tulsa school, this ramp will help her stay active and engaged.
Julie says seeing these volunteers at work restores her faith in people.
"Three guys do not compare to hundreds of great people who have supported me and have flocked around me and these guys who have given up their time," said Julie.
Rebuilding Together Tulsa says they'll keep working on the ramp into next week.
The group has served more than 1,500 Tulsa homeowners with free repairs.
