The earthquake yesterday shook many people right out of bed. But for one Tulsa woman, it shook her into labor.
Tara Ring started to have contractions at about 5 a.m. Saturday, but it was in the middle of the earthquake when she said her water broke.
The Rings made it to the hospital in time for the baby girl’s arrival, but the nurses had a theory.
“All the nurses were saying the earthquake caused the water to break, but I was saying the opposite,” said Tara’s husband, Josh Ring. “I was like, ‘the water breaking caused the earth to shake cause my little daughter was coming into the world.’”
Ring said their daughter being born the same day as the earthquake makes her birthday a little extra special.
Both the parents and the baby are doing well.
