Fire Damages Sapulpa Home

A fire damaged a Sapulpa home Friday morning.

Just before 7 a.m. firefighters said the Mounds police chief was driving by, saw smoke pouring from the home at East Jackson and South Water Street and called the Sapulpa Fire Department.

Firefighters arrived a few minutes later and were able to put the fire quickly.

They say a couple along their dog were in the home at the time, but got out uninjured.

Fire officials say both electric and gas utilities were turned off in the home and the fire marshal is now trying to determine what caused the fire.
