Owasso Police chased and arrested a 52-year-old driver after a high speed chase from their city to Tulsa late Thursday.
Police say an Owasso officer attempted to stop a Dodge Neon with a paper tag at Highway 169 and 106th Street North at about 11:30 p.m.
They say the driver, John William Doble of Bremerton, Washington instead, sped off heading south on Highway 169. Tulsa Police used stop sticks at 56th Street North and Highway 169 to flatten one of the car's tires. Police said the driver slowed down but kept driving south, before turning west on Pine.
Police say Doble eventually stopped in the 6800 block of East Haskell, where he got out and ran.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Tulsa Police and Owasso Police caught up with him at the QuikTrip at I-244 and Sheridan and took him into custody.
Owasso Police arrested John Doble on a number of complaints including eluding, possession of a firearm and burglary tools. They also said Doble had several arrest warrants including burglary, drug possession and false impersonation.
