It appears ITT Technical Institute may be in trouble after the U.S. Department Of Education announced they're not allowing the school to enroll new students using federal aid.
If you go to the Technical Institute's Tulsa home page, the home screen header says simply, "We are not enrolling new students."
The Department of Education says twice this year ITT Technical Institute has been found to be out of compliance with accreditors' standards and the school hasn't addressed the problems.
They've also been the target of several federal and state investigations over the years.
The U.S. Department of Education says the school is putting their students and millions of dollars of taxpayer-funded federal aid at risk.
The Tulsa campus is located at 4500 South 129th East Avenue.
On department's webpage, they are not only cutting off federal aid to any new students, but demanding the school increase their cash reserves in case they close.
They say students can finish school, assuming it stays open, and keep their existing aid.
And the Department says if ITT Technical Institute closes before students finish and don't transfer, those students may be eligible to discharge their federal loan.
