An Amber Alert issued for a 14-day-old girl near Ada has been canceled. Officials say the infant was located safely, but the suspect is still missing.
Police are searching for Santiago Ruiz. He's accused of taking 14-day-old Charlotte Ruiz just a few miles east of Ada around 5:00 p.m. Monday.
Officials said they located Charlotte safely and she is now in protective custody, but they are still searching for Santiago.
He’s described as a 33-year-old Hispanic male around 5-feet-9-inches tall and 200 pounds.
They say he has brown eyes, long dark hair and was last seen wearing a brown shirt with sleeves cut off and shorts. He also has a tattoo of the word “outlaw” on his left leg and numerous tattoos on both arms.
Police say they are looking for a white Chevrolet pickup extended cab with a Cheyenne-Arapaho tag – 016011.
According to the report, Santiago Ruiz became violent and threw the mother out of the vehicle, made threats to kill himself and the victim.
They believe he was headed to Longdale, Oklahoma and is possibly under the influence of narcotics.
