One person is dead after a crash in Delaware County. The wreck took place at the low-water bridge on Ford Road north of Grove High School Sunday. Ford Road is also known as South 630 Road.

Authorities on scene said the male driver was traveling at a high rate of speed when he apparently lost control of his pickup and went head-on into a tree, according to the Grove Sun.

He's been identified as 24-year-old Sean Hayward of Grove. Speed and alcohol are thought to have contributed to the wreck, a collision report states.

Hayward, who troopers said was not wearing a seat belt, was pinned in his truck for almost three hours. He had no passengers.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the single-vehicle wreck.
