A man in his 20s is dead after a shooting Sunday morning at the Somerset Apartments in southeast Tulsa.
Police are looking for the man who shot him around 4:45 a.m. Police interviewed the victim's roommate who they say saw some of what happened.
Officers told News On 6 a man and woman showed up at the door of the victim's apartment in the 9400 block of East 65th. The woman knocked on the door, then the man shot him, according to Tulsa Police.
Sergeant Dave Walker said it's believed two shots were fired and one hit the victim in the neck.
"He was answering the door when he got shot," Walker said. "It's almost like it was a rouse-type thing to get those people out."
Police are trying to gather more information from a neighbor who called 911 and the roommate. They don't know how well the two men knew each other, but they don't think there's anything the roommate could do to save him.
"I'm sure there was some sort of life-saving measures going on, but there was none to be had," Walker said.
This is Tulsa's 40th murder of the year. If you know anything that can help police, call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
