Flooding in Louisiana has shelters here in Tulsa looking to make room for displaced animals.

Saturday afternoon, the SPCA set up near 41st and Sheridan hoping to find rescued puppies and kittens new homes.

They hope to make room for any animals coming from the flood zones.

“We've taken in more than 40 dogs in the past two days from the Louisiana flooding and the Henryetta flooding situation,” said SPCA volunteer manager Dani Adams. “We've got a really, really full house, so we are trying to make as much room as possible for these new guys coming in.”

SPCA says they set up mobile centers in different locations across Tulsa. You'll need to bring your drivers license to adopt.
