A cool front is headed to Green Country and it is bringing a chance for rain and storms.
Showers and storms associated with the cool front should impact folks around Tulsa to the north and west as early as this evening.
Meanwhile, down to the south, a cluster of storms has been moving northeast out of north central Texas and will bring rain and storms to southeastern Oklahoma. This cluster could reach folks as far north as Okmulgee over to Muskogee.
Once that cluster moves out this evening, it should be quiet for southeastern Oklahoma until the early morning hours of Saturday when showers and storms associated with the cool front move in.
Rain and storms could start in the metro as early as this evening. Showers and storms are expected to develop out ahead of the cool front and main line of precipitation. The main line or more widespread activity will move in with the front late tonight and early Saturday morning.
Depending on the speed of the front itself, showers and storms could be in the metro around sunrise on Saturday.
The cool front will continue to push southeast during the day and it will take the rain chances with it. By late afternoon, most of northeastern Oklahoma will be dry with clouds expected to stick around.
