Police are looking for an armed man who forced a woman to drive him to north Tulsa early Friday.
Officers said the incident happened at Lady Godiva's in the 1800 block of South Sheridan just before 2 a.m. They say victim was waiting in her car outside the club with her 19-year-old son to pick up a relative, when a man came up to the car, fired a shot, then got into her car.
The man forced the son out of the car and made her drive off.
"He kept stating if that she followed directions, he wouldn't harm her," said Officer Leland Ashley.
The suspect kept his word.
Police say the woman dropped him off in a neighborhood near Lewis and Apache and he ran away, while she drove back to the strip club.
"She did basically the right thing because there's only so much you can do when someone's got a gun pointed in your face and, of course, you don't wanna be shot," said Officer Ashley.
He said while it will be a painful memory for the victims, police are thankful no one lost their life.
"It could have went a lot of different days but we're very fortunate that we're not working, you know, a homicide at this point," said Leland Ashley.
