There's now a new way to visit a doctor and even get a prescription without ever leaving your area home, with your smart phone or computer.
The new program from Tulsa's St. John Health Systems is called St. John Clinic OnDemand.
Here is how the first of its kind service in Tulsa works. You log onto the OnDemand website and it pairs you up with a doctor or nurse practitioner.
You can talk with them through your webcam on the smart phone or computer.
The virtual doctor visits are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The cost is $49 and everyone can use it, regardless if you have insurance or not.
The doctors can then write prescriptions for health issues like sore throats, fevers, flu or even rashes and upper respiratory infections.
They say a virtual visit takes about 30 minutes and no appointment is necessary.
