Tulsa police said two people were robbed - and one assaulted - by the same man Tuesday morning. The robber was carrying a weapon, possibly a sawed-off shotgun.

The first robbery took place at the McDonald's at Southwest Boulevard and West 23rd Street a little after 5 a.m. Police said an older man was walking on 23rd Street when the robber demanded his wallet and got away with a small amount of cash.

Then, just outside a nearby donut shop, the robber approached another elderly man who was walking to the Route 66 Donut Shop. That victim was in his 70s, according to police.

At first, the man ignored the robber - until the robber pushed him down from behind, grabbed his wallet and kept going.

Police aren't sure if the man was robbed with a shotgun or a pipe as the descriptions varied. But they believe it is the same man.

Last week a visually impaired woman with a guide dog was robbed in the same area.
