Sapulpa Police said suspects are on the loose in a home invasion that left one man wounded.

A man is in the hospital after being shot in the leg in Sapulpa, and police are looking for three suspects Sunday morning in connection to the shooting. Police said they are looking for one woman and two men - one last seen wearing a pink bandana.

Police say these three people showed up at the Cherry Hill apartment complex, shot a man in the leg, and took his backpack.

A captain at the police department says the group of people simply knocked on the door, and someone inside opened it.

Police don't know what's inside this backpack at this point - they're working to learn more.

But police say the victim who was shot in the leg is not being cooperative.

Sapulpa Police Captain Glenn Coffey and a man who has lived at the complex for three years both said this kind of activity is rare.

"We really don't have very many of these at all in Sapulpa. It's not something, a crime we're used to having an abundance of," Coffey said.

The shooting victim is expected to be OK. If you have any information about the crime, call Sapulpa Police at 918-224-3862.
