With its mix of shops and restaurants, Tulsa’s Cherry Street draws consistent crowds.

And thanks to an established Tulsa restaurant owner and a brand new venture, two more stops are being added to the area.

Cherry Street is an established strip of shops and restaurants. But a new build among them will bring a handful of new business, including Roosevelt's Gastropub - from the same owner of R Bar in Brookside and Prairie in the Brady District.

“I actually worked on Cherry Street before I started R Bar and I loved it. I absolutely loved it,” Josh Royal said.

The prohibition-style restaurant named for the president who helped abolish it will have a 1,500-square-foot patio and 79 beers on tap. There’s also a digital pour system, so you know just how much of the beer is left for you to consume.

A few storefronts down, a first for Davina Howie - owner of D'vina in the space that used to house Doe's Eat Place.

“When I first came into this building I fell in love and had a vision and couldn't stop thinking about it,” she said.

The 10,000 square foot space will offer a little bit of everything - after all, Howie is from Sri Lanka, her chef is from Germany and her kitchen manager is from Trinidad.

Howie said, “Tulsa has a lot of foodies. People don't realize how Tulsa is growing, and I think this is a great time to be a part of it.”

There is still real estate available. The Full Moon Cafe has been empty for months but is ready for a new tenant – 4,500 square feet and an outdoor patio ready to go, right in between D'vina and Roosevelt's.

Royal said, “Competition is great. I don't even call it competition, the more you have the better, the more foot traffic.”

“All these beautiful restaurants opening just brings more people to Cherry Street, so I’m all for it,” Howie said.

Now, there will be a few more options to add to the variety that the neighborhood is known for.
