Toddler In Tulsa Hospital After Nearly Drowning In Pool

Police say a toddler is in intensive care after nearly drowning in a backyard swimming pool Monday afternoon.  

Officers say there were several children with multiple adults swimming at the house in the 3400 block of East 64th Street.  Police said the children went inside to watch a movie and the three-year-old somehow found his way outside without anyone noticing.  He was found unresponsive in the pool.

At this time, police say it doesn't appear to be a case of criminal neglect.

Police add this is the third near drowning involving a toddler in Tulsa in less than a week.  With all three of those children in the hospital in intensive care, police are stressing the need for parents to be vigilant with their kids around water.
