Tulsa police are searching for the man they say used a knife to rob another man near 51st and Harvard Sunday night. Police say just after 11:30 p.m., the victim was approached by the suspect in the parking behind El Tequila Restaurant.

Officers said the victim was sitting in his truck when the man held up a knife and demanded money. Police said the men were meeting for a Craigslist exchange.

The suspect took the victim's wallet and cell phone then headed east before officers could show up. Officers said it's another reminder people need to be careful when selling items to strangers.

"If you're going to do a Craigslist purchase or meet someone for a Craigslist, do it during the day; do it in a populated area; do it in a well-lit area," said Tulsa Police Officer Jeannie Mackenzie.

Tulsa Police used their helicopter and a K9 team but were not able to find the thief.

If you know anything that can help authorities in the search, call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
