Two men were killed when their car smashed into a concrete barrier wall along the Creek Turnpike near Harvard. The high-speed crash took place on the westbound turnpike just before 2 a.m.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol states Rick Shannon Crenshaw, 29, and 24-year-old Korey T. Stark were pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers aren't sure which man was driving the 2016 Dodge Challenger.

The car is now unrecognizable. Troopers said there weren't any witnesses to the crash, but someone called in after seeing the wreckage.

Troopers said Crenshaw, a Glenpool resident, and Stark of  Crane, Missouri, were thrown from the car after it left the roadway and hit the barrier wall at a high rate of speed.

OHP is still investigating the fatal crash. Its cause is unsafe speed.
