After being indicted on two misdemeanors, the former Tulsa County sheriff made his pleas Friday afternoon.

Stanley Glanz pleaded guilty to misusing a county vehicle and pleaded no contest to not releasing an internal affairs report.

Glanz received a one-year suspended sentence with no supervision and must pay $7,500 in restitution for misuse of a county vehicle.

Last November, Glanz was charged with willful violation of the law and refusal to perform official duty. The first count accused Glanz of using a county vehicle for transportation while taking a $600 monthly stipend to cover expenses for using his personal vehicle. The second count accused Glanz of failing to release internal investigations of the office's reserve deputy program.

We asked if Glanz and his attorney, Scott Wood, if they wanted to comment.

Wood said, "We're not going to have any comments today, Lori, thank you though."

This all started last year after then reserve deputy Bob Bates accidentally shot and killed Eric Harris after an undercover gun buying operation.

Harris ran from the arrest team and Bates mistakenly pulled his gun instead of his Taser, shooting and killing Harris. Bates is now serving a four-year sentence for manslaughter.

People questioned Bates' training and the media requested an internal document from 2009, showing Bates had been investigated for training issues, but Glanz did not release it.

The group We the People Oklahoma collected signatures to get a grand jury, which investigated a long list of allegations.

The result was the two misdemeanor charges and Glanz resigned from office.

Glanz still faces a number of lawsuits filed against him when he was sheriff, including one filed by the Harris.
