Eufaula Couple Arrested After Standoff

Police in Eufaula have two people in custody after a standoff overnight Tuesday. Police say the standoff started at the Simmoms Mobile Home Park near Highway 69 and Highway 9 West in Eufaula around 10:30 Monday when a man threatened neighbors with a shotgun.

Police say they called in an OHP Tactical Team to help. Negotiators were eventually able to get the suspect and his wife to come out of the home around 5:15 Tuesday morning.

Police arrested both of them and transported the to the McIntosh County Jail. No one was hurt in the standoff.
