Buddy Hield made his much-anticipated NBA debut Friday night for the New Orleans Pelicans.
The sixth overall pick had his share of rookie problems against the Los Angeles Lakers.
The former Sooner struggled to get into a shooting rhythm, making just five of his 20 shots from the floor.
He finished the night with 13 points, six rebounds and two assists in 32 minutes.
But Hield, also known as Buddy Buckets, says there's no need to panic.
“Five of 20. That's horrible. That's horrible. I had some good looks. I take some tough looks. The game is a lot faster than I thought it was going to be. That's something I can learn from. This is what Summer League is for, for me to get better," said Hield.
