The Pony of the Americas National Congress is in Tulsa for the next week. The youth-oriented equestrian league hosts kids from 6-18 years old.
You just have to have a certified Pony of the Americas horse.
“You have to have all the characteristics of an Appaloosa, which is why you may recognize some of the spots,” Natalie Dolan said. “But you can only be a maximum of 14 hands high and you have to be measured in at your height to become a POA.”
Saturday morning’s event was haltering, where the kids compete against adults.
But for the rest of the week, it will be kids-only competitions.
