Thacker Brothers Sentenced To Life For 2010 Oklahoma Murder

Two brothers have been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole after they were convicted of murdering a Fort Smith woman in 2010.

KFSM, the CBS affiliate in Fort Smith reports Johnathen Thacker was sentenced to life in prison Friday after he pleaded guilty and the prosecution waived the death penalty in exchange for testimony against his brother, Elvis.

Elvis Thacker was sentenced to life in prison Wednesday. A jury found him guilty of first-degree murder on April 29.

The Thackers killed and sexually assaulted Briana Ault.

“The LeFlore County district attorney’s office is glad this case has reached a just resolution for the Ault family,” District Attorney Jeff Smith said. 

“We believe justice was done for Brianna and that was the most important thing in this case.”
