Police arrested a 23-year-old Sapulpa man after finding a teen shot to death at a Sapulpa apartment complex late Wednesday.

Officers got the call to the Pines Apartments at Mike Avenue and Main Street just before 10 p.m.  When they arrived officers found the body of 19-year-old Jacob Richardson, also of Sapulpa.

Police say Richardson had been showing a gun to some friends, then unloaded it and put it away. They said he later pulled the gun out again and the friends mistakenly thought it was still unloaded. They said a friend grabbed it and it went off.

Police booked Cory Hill, 23, into jail for first-degree manslaughter.

Officers are still looking for the gun.
