Shelby Nationals Wrap Up In Tulsa

The Mid-America Ford and Shelby Nationals wrapped up on Sunday.

Hundreds of newer and classic Mustangs were on display outside the Marriott Hotel near 71st and Lewis.

This was the 42nd year for the event.

"Not very many events can claim to be 42 years old,” event founder Jim Wicks said. “Forty-two years ago I had a picnic, had 16 cars and 30 people. From there we've grown, grown into an international car extravaganza here."

Our own Tess Maune led the parade of Mustangs to kick off the event in downtown Tulsa on Thursday.

Thousands of people attended the four-day event, which featured about 800 Ford Mustangs.
