The 64th Oklahoma Highway Patrol academy graduated Friday. And because of the state's economy in crisis, this was the last academy for quite some time.
OHP said the 29 cadets who graduated received top-notch training that few receive in Oklahoma and around the nation.
Lieutenant John Vincent said, "I remember my academy. From day one, until you graduate, it’s what you wanted to do – you wanted to earn the badge and the brown shirt, and these guys have definitely done it today.”
The cadets worked for 20 weeks to reach Friday's milestone.
