Tulsa Inmate Dies In Transitional Center

An inmate at an Oklahoma halfway house died Monday morning. Larry T. Benton was in the Tulsa Transitional Center, operated by Corrections Corporation of America.

His cause of death is not yet known, according to Alex Gerszewki of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.

The 48-year-old Benton has numerous drug convictions, records show. His most recent convictions were for possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
