The Oklahoma Highway Patrol arrested a woman for breaking into a tollbooth plaza building Thursday morning on the Cherokee Turnpike.
The Delaware County Sheriff's Office identifies the suspect as Donice Daniels, 50.
It happened at the plaza near Leach in Delaware County east of Locust Grove.
Troopers initially believed Daniels to rob a OTA worker who was handling money at the plaza. Jack Damrill with the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority later said they aren't sure what the woman was doing, but she had a towel or scarf wrapped around her face and demanded entry into the office.
The clerk told Daniels she couldn't come inside, but she forced her way in, he said. The OTA worker barricaded herself in another building.
Damrill said Daniels then left and started walking down the turnpike. The Delaware County Sheriff's Office and Locust Grove Police responded and took her into custody.
Daniels faces charges of burglary, public drunk, petit larceny and assault.
OHP Lieutenant John Vincent said the female attendant wasn't seriously hurt.
