Police arrested a murder suspect on the run from North Carolina at a Craig County gas station on Thursday.
They say Christopher Rouson, 23, was wanted in connection with the murder of his father and stepmother in Bertie County, North Carolina.
Vinita officers said the clerk had a bad feeling when Rouson walked into the gas station, so he called police.
"Something was definitely out of place and the convenience store clerk felt that and he made the right decision getting a call to us. Cause, no telling how long this guy could be on the run if we wasn't caught here in Vinita," Officer Bobby Floyd said.
Police say Rouson will be held in the Craig County jail until he is sent back to North Carolina.
