A 7-year-old Bartlesville entrepreneur from is proving every little bit counts when it comes to helping his police department.

Koby Pierce has a gumball machine at the Painted Horse Restaurant in downtown Bartlesville. This week he donated 10-percent of his profit to the Bartlesville Police Department’s K-9 program.

His mom said the young businessman wanted to help after hearing the police department needed two additional K-9s because the two current K-9s, Apollo and Diesel, are retiring.

Koby met with K-9 Officers Troy Newell and Caleb Samson on Thursday to donate the money, a total of $3.

Police Chief Tom Holland “We can’t thank this young man enough...It’s citizens like him who truly make a difference in our community.”
