Tulsa police questioned five people in connection to possibly stealing items from vehicles near 71st and Yale and ended up releasing three of them. Authorities say someone called them around 5 a.m. over a woman who looked suspicious walking in that area around 5 a.m. Monday.

They arrived to find her with stolen items, an officer at the scene said. The woman, identified as Rhema Cannon, was booked on complaints of burglary of a vehicle and possession of a controlled drug.

About the same time, police spotted a car in the area with an improper tag. They stopped that vehicle and questioned the four people inside. Police say they were throwing items from the car.

They took one male passenger to jail for an outstanding warrant. He is Robert Wagoner, and he was wanted for traffic offenses and unauthorized use of a credit card.

The car was towed.

Authorities don't believe the two groups were connected to each other.
