Budweiser is owned by Belgium-based beer conglomerate Anheuser-Busch InBev, but that isn't stopping the company from wrapping itself in the stars and stripes in an effort to sell more beer.
Anheuser-Busch is coming out with a limited-edition label change later this month, with "America" replacing "Budweiser" on cans and bottles, according to AdAge.
The appeal to patriotic drinkers will run from May 23 through the election season in November, and a TV spot showing the revamped packaging will launch June 1, according to the report.
Phrases including "Land of the Free," "Home of the Brave," and "From the Redwood Forest to the Gulf Stream Waters this land was made for you and me" will also be part of the labeling.
Anheuser-Busch was purchased by InBev in 2008.
