A motorcycle rider died in a collision with a gravel truck on Highway 412 near 305th East Avenue Tuesday morning.
The crash happened at about 7 a.m.
"The fog was really, really thick," said Trooper Dwight Durant, Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The semi truck was crossing the highway from northbound 305th East Avenue to turn westbound on the highway, he said. The motorcycle was eastbound on 412.
Durant said a witness saw the motorcycle go up on its front wheel trying to stop. He was unable to avoid the truck, hitting its gas tank.
The Oak Grove Fire District and Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the scene.
The OHP restricted traffic to one lane going westbound about a half mile west of the Verdigris River bridge in Rogers County. Troopers say the semi's driver will not be ticketed.
