Police identified the man who was shot to death outside a Tulsa nightclub over the weekend.
Police say the man was Quinn Johnson, 45. Someone shot Johnson multiple times in the parking lot of the Uptown Lounge near Apache and Yale at about 3 a.m. on Sunday, May 1, 2016.
Detectives believe the shooting was the result of an argument at a different location and had nothing to do with the private party inside the nightclub.
A woman who was in the car when Johnson was shot was treated and released from a hospital, police said.
Johnson was sentenced to 18 years in prison back in 1989 for shooting with intent to kill. After being released he was sentenced to another 10 years for drug possession. According to Department of Corrections records he wasn't due to finish that sentence until June.
So far police have not made any arrests in his murder.
