One of Oklahoma's Own marked a big milestone today.
Carol Bean celebrates 30 years of volunteering this month at Tulsa's Red Cross.
But at more than 90 years young - Carol is hanging up her lanyard and retiring.
The Red Cross served up a big thank you on Thursday at a special luncheon honoring her many years of service.
She and her husband volunteered together, until he died in 2001.
Carol kept on going, though, serving in many ways on the blood services side of the Red Cross.
"It’s been a long journey but a fascinating one” she said. “To see this place change, and there is a quietness about it until there is an emergency, and then this whole place changes."
April is volunteer month, so Carol thought this would be the perfect time to retire.
