The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says an improper U-turn caused a crash on the Muskogee Turnpike Friday night.

Troopers said a 2012 Ford driven by Roderick Mackey, 23, of Dallas, Texas was southbound on the turnpike near Porter when he was hit broadside while making an improper u-turn at about 11:30 p.m.

Mackey and his passenger,  22-year-old Shavon Scott of Tulsa, were taken to a Wagoner hospital where they were treated and released, according to the OHP.

The 16-year-old driver of a 2007 Volvo that hit Mackey's car was taken to a Tulsa hospital. Two passengers in the Volvo, 26-year-old Leuren Woodward and a one-year-old boy, were also taken to the Tulsa hospital. The OHP said everyone in the Volvo was from Coweta.

The teenager and the adult were treated and released, but the boy was admitted, the OHP said.
