Police: Woman Shot In Head Inside Tulsa Home Dies

Police say a woman shot in the head outside a midtown Tulsa home early Wednesday has died.

Police Sgt. Dave Walker says Erin Heather Roy, 37, is Tulsa's 17th homicide victim this year.  

Officers were called to the home in the 3900 block of East 2nd Street near Pittsburg just before 1 a.m. on April 20.

Police arrested Blain Butcher, 36, after an investigation showed Butcher and two women got into an argument.   Investigators believe Roy was staying at the residence for a few days and may have been getting kicked out when the shooting took place.

Butcher was booked into the Tulsa County jail on a complaint of shooting with intent to kill.
