Oversized Load Blocks Downtown Tulsa Highway Ramp

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol closed the ramps from I-244 to northbound 75 Friday morning because of an issue with a truck carrying an oversized load.

The truck was taking the eastbound 244 ramp to northbound 75 when it got stuck at about 6:45 a.m.  The ramp is on the northeast corner of the IDL.

Troopers say the driver stopped on the ramp after realizing the load would not be able to make the curve. As a result, the OHP closed the eastbound 244 ramps to north and southbound 75, as well as the westbound 244 to northbound 75 ramp.

A tow truck removed the load from the ramp and the OHP re-opened all lanes at about 9:30 a.m.
