Sapulpa Police say a man was shot in the 900 block of South Mission at about 3 p.m.
Police originally believed it to be a home invasion situation, but said it was a case of misinformation from the alleged shooter and now say it was a domestic dispute.
Police said the victim knocked on the door and confronted the resident inside.
They say an argument got heated and the resident reportedly grabbed a gun and shot the other man.
Police said he then drove himself to the hospital and then an ambulance took him to a Tulsa Hospital where he immediately went into surgery.
Police said he's out of surgery and in stable condition.
They said the two men were acquaintances but did not know each other well.
